Barstow Judo Invitational Tournament 36th Annual Northglen Judo Tournament

May 15 and 16 found the Mojica Players on the road

Efren Maldonado, Tyrone Mendez, Walter Mendez, Yvonne Carrera, flew into Denver for the Annual Northglen Judo Tournament for competition on May 15. Only two weeks after Senior Nationals,  the Northglen tournament brought some good caliber players hoping to make some points on the senior roster. After a disappointing showing at seniors, Yvonne was poised for this tournament.  She had two ippons and came home with Gold, but more importantly, a point in the 63kilo division.  Efren, Tyrone, and Walter getting experience in the Black Belt division did well. Efren won a match, and came home with Silver and 1/2 point,  while Walter and Tyrone, each won a match, but did not place.

Anthony Vasquez, and Francisco Torres drove up to Barstow, CA. for the Annual Barstow Judo Invitational held on May 16.  Anthony entered two divisions and came home with two golds, and Frank was disqualified in his first match, and was unable to continue.
